Investigators at the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Dit Reskrimsus) of the Jakarta Police are following up on the doxing case against the journalist Cakrayuri Nuralam. Now, Polda Metro Jaya is researching the report made by regarding the disclosure of personal data with bad intentions to social media.
“Now it’s just being researched,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, when confirmed, Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Yusri ensured that investigators from the Directorate of Criminal and Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya would thoroughly investigate the case.

Journalist Doxing Case
Previously, the Chief Editor of accompanied by LBH Pers visited the Metro Jaya Regional Police Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) on Monday, September 21, 2020. Resistance to Journalist Intimidation
The Executive Director of LBH Pers, Ade Wahyudin, said that this report is a form of resistance to actions that intimidate the media or journalists. Ade hopes that other journalists who are victims of doxing attacks will do the same.

Journalists Become Doxing Victims Due to Fact-Checking Writing
One of the journalists, Cakrayuri Nuralam, is a victim of doxing or the sharing of personal information in cyberspace. Cakra experienced doxing because he wrote a fact check article related to the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) politician Arteria Dahlan.
This case began when Cakra uploaded a Fact Check article entitled “Fact Check: Not True Members of the DPR from the PDI-P Faction for the Grandson of the PKI Founders in West Sumatra”, on September 10, 2020. In the article, Cakra contains the confirmation results regarding the claim that the PDIP politician is the grandson of the founder of the West Sumatra PKI, Bachtaroedin.
